What happens when the connection drops

Checkout does not wait for the network. Here is what ShopFlow does with each sale until you are back online.

  1. The sale goes through

The cashier completes the sale and prints the receipt as usual.

  2. It waits on the device

The sale is stored in the browser and marked as queued. The POS shows how many sales are waiting to sync.

  3. It syncs when you reconnect

Queued sales upload when the connection returns, or when you tap Sync. Stock and reports then include them.

Checkout

Ring up a sale on a phone, tablet, or computer.

  • Find products by name, SKU, or barcode

  • Apply a discount; tax is worked out from each product’s rate
  • Record cash, mobile money, card, bank transfer, or credit
  • Print or reprint the receipt

Common questions

Does ShopFlow work without internet?

Selling does. Once ShopFlow has loaded on a device, cashiers can keep completing sales offline. Each sale is saved on that device and synced when the connection returns. You need a connection to sign in, and stock levels and reports update after queued sales sync.

What equipment do I need?

A phone, tablet, or computer with a modern web browser. There is nothing to install. To scan barcodes, use the device camera or a USB or Bluetooth scanner. Receipts print from the browser to any printer your device can use.

Can customers pay with mobile money?

For eligible GHS shops, customers can approve a mobile money payment on their phone through Paystack. The cashier can check a pending payment before completing the sale. Mobile money requires an internet connection; cash sales can continue offline. Reports show totals by payment method.

Which currencies are supported?

Each shop uses one currency: Ghanaian cedi (GHS), Nigerian naira (NGN), Kenyan shilling (KES), South African rand (ZAR), West or Central African CFA franc (XOF, XAF), or US dollar (USD).

How does the free trial work?

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and you do not need a credit card to begin.
